paliaplay Overlay (Windows)
Frameless, transparent in-game overlay. Press Ctrl+M to summon the map on top of SCUM, Ctrl+Shift+M to flip click-through so the mouse passes to the game underneath. Sign-in shares with the website.
- • Auto-updates: app pings this site, downloads + verifies new versions automatically.
- • Customizable hotkeys (Settings → tray icon → Settings…).
- • Optional auto-pin: tail your SCUM log for player coords and pin them on the map.
- • Same allow-list as the website — your Discord ID has to be invited.
Install instructions (Windows)
- 1. Download the installer above. Save it anywhere.
- 2. Double-click to run. Windows SmartScreen will probably warn you with “Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting” — this is expected because we haven't paid for a code-signing certificate yet. Click More info → Run anyway.
- 3. Walk through the installer. The app installs to %LocalAppData%\scummy_map overlay\ by default.
- 4. Launch scummy_map overlay. The window starts hidden — press Ctrl+M to summon it.
- 5. Sign in with Discord (same flow as the website). The overlay then knows who you are and can post markers, see squad presence, etc.

Change any of these in Settings (tray icon → Settings… → click a hotkey field, press the new combo).
Discord bot
Slash commands like /sm add to drop markers from inside Discord, plus squad-shared markers, raid planning, and rendered map snapshots. Nothing to download — your server admin installs it via an OAuth invite link.
Ask paliaplay staff for the invite URL — bot installs are vetted while we're in private beta.
